			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kettlebells are not the only weight you can throw around. In this post we&#8217;ll cover block weights.</p>
<p>Block weights are the cut off ends of work or hex dumbbells. This removes the handle and thus you must use your hand strength, particularly the pinch grip, in order to lift the weight. If you can lift a 50 lb. block weight you have a world class grip!</p>
<p>You can do many different moves with the block weights. Just doing standard lifts like picking them up is fine but when you add the dynamic component you really start to have some fun.</p>
<p>Block weight tossing involves throwing the weight from one hand to another, doing around the body passes, and more. You can include other moves like cleans, snatches and curls in too. Check out this video to see wehat it looks like.</p>
